Large Group Sales Consultant

Description

Purpose of Position:
The Large Group Sales Consultant will partner with the Sales Team statewide to strategically promote the sale of Large Groups. This position is California based and may require travel throughout California and Nevada.
Essential Functions:
Have a focus on forward thinking concepts and engagement resulting in increased large group sales
Prepare and present proposals and comparison spreadsheets, recommending the best options to clients based on their unique needs
Analyze trends, carrier updates, and networks
Work closely with statewide Sales Support staff
Partner with Large Group Director and Marketing to promote our Large Group Value Proposition
Train Internal Statewide Staff with Market updates and trends
Host Webinars, Participate in VIP Tours and Lunch & Learns to educate brokers statewide. Implement strategies to educate and engage brokers
Assist with statewide Enrollment Meetings and Client Presentations
Assist with rate negotiation and resolution of inquiries
Performs other business tasks or functions as assigned
Must thrive in a fast-paced selling environment, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines is essential
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Computer literate; proficiency in Excel is a must
Prior health insurance knowledge
Excellent customer service, including verbal and telephone skills
Excellent grammar and spelling
Public speaking skills are required
Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Ability to interface with Carriers, Brokers and Clients in a professional manner
Team oriented
Must be able to work and achieve goals with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment
Must think outside the box and adapt to change
Valid CA Driver's license and transportation is required
Must have active California Life & Health Insurance Producer license
Must have 2 years large group industry/sales experience
Salesforce knowledge preferred
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma required
College preferred
2-3 years minimum of industry experience
