Proposal Development Associate

KAI Partners is currently searching for a Proposal Development Associate to work closely with the Proposal Development Manager and staff to identify proposal request requirements, assist in proposal process support, participate in sourcing events (including RFPs), and create supporting documents and reports. This role will also help to meet the staffing needs for proposal development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct preliminary RFP reviews and evaluate criteria to assess company suitability.
  • Determine staff with the capabilities in accordance with the proposal response.
  • Work directly with internal staff and in collaboration with the recruiting team to recruit staff for proposal response needs.
  • Maintain procurement records and track proposal awards and losses.
  • Record and submit contract vehicle quarterly reporting.
  • Network with state and federal small business enterprise advocates and track correspondence to drive business awareness.
  • Assist in follow-up with proposal response team participants to maintain compliance and schedule adherence.
  • Maintain a database of client contact information and references.
  • Aid procurement proposal through resume formatting, editing, and development.
  • Review, edit, and write proposal documentation for clarity without changing key information.
  • Scribe meetings in person and virtually.
  • Research, write, and organize information in a professional and credible manner.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and identify requirements in Federal and State documents.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Strong focus on proposal compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to shift focus onto new and unforeseen priorities.
Work/Education Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (Communications, English, or Business degree preferred).
  • 2+ years' experience in contractual services and procurement processes.
  • 2+ years' experience in RFPs, RFOs, and RFIs (preferred).
  • Knowledge of CMAS, TDDC, and GSA contract vehicles is a plus.

Compensation Range: $68,000 - $93,000

The salary range for this role may vary depending on the specific geographic location where this position is ultimately filled. Several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, pay equity, and organizational needs, are considered when determining the posted salary range. In addition, eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
