We are growing!

Due to our expanding sales, we are seeking a

Sales Engineer familiar with Heat Treating Equipment (Furnaces, Ovens, Kilns)

to joining our growing Team.

This role will work closely with our Inside and Outside Sales Reps. and provide technical support to our new and existing customers.

In this role you'll also be working to identify new Dealers, Brokers and Distributors for our Products and generate customer leads, while interacting with our existing members. We'd prefer you have experience with working with this line of business (Dealer, Brokers, Distributors).

This role requires both working on-site in our office and travel to client and Dealer sites as well.

There may be the possibility of working remotely one day per week, once established in the role.

This is an exciting new role where you will be involved in contributing to all aspects of our growing business and working in the capacities of Technical Engineering Support, Inside Sales, Sales Engineer and Customer Service.

Position Overview:
This is an important role that helps drive sales for our wholesale distribution channel (dealers).
We are a heat treatment equipment manufacturer. We sell ovens and furnaces to a range of customer types, including science and dental laboratories, Arts & Crafts (ceramic pottery) and schools.
Our equipment is used in various industries including medical, dental, aerospace, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and specialist advanced materials (Kevlar, carbon fiber etc.).

Essential Job Functions:
Attract new customers and retain existing customers by developing equipment inquiries.
Respond to dealer inquiries regarding potential sales and discuss the required equipment specification.
Provide quotations and work with colleagues in the Engineering group to develop more complex quotations.
Interface with the end user if required, to secure order placement.
Process orders and monitor status of product deliveries.
Resolve any shipping discrepancies.
Troubleshoot equipment performance issues and direct to the Service Department if necessary.
Coordinate requests for spare parts with the Spare Parts Dept.
Develop our dealer relationships.
Be the interface between our dealers and the factory by providing accurate and timely information to internal and external resources, and the factory.
Support our dealers with product training, either online or on-site if required.
Maintain the company section of the dealer website with current pricing and equipment images.
Visit with local dealers and assist in locating new dealers.

Sales Support:
Input detailed customer application information into the CRM.
Update prospective customer information in the CRM following trade shows.
Maintain a list of prospective orders with forecasted dates of fulfillment.
Support the organization by maintaining show exhibit materials. Assist in logistics for shows and events. Maintain a stock of catalogs and exhibit materials. Arrange for shipment and delivery of materials to event sites.
Attend several industrial trade shows per year.

Experience and Skills:
The following skills are required in order to perform the above tasks:
BS in Engineering or business degree is preferred. However, we will consider relevant work experience in lieu of 4-year degree.
Our products are of a technical nature. Experience with, and/or an interest in engineering subjects would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Motors, Valves, Actuators, etc., is preferred.
Experience in selling and troubleshooting Scientific Instrumentation is preferred.
Ability to communicate by telephone and email.
Proficiency in operating basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
We operate in a cloud computing environment. Daily use of an internet browser is required.
No prior furnace experience is necessary, product training will be available at our German headquarters.
Ability to travel occasionally within the US and overseas to Germany.
Possession of a passport will be required along with a valid Driver's license.
