Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in virtualization or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or support role.

Experience delivering technical presentations while leading discovery and planning sessions that are aligned with the customer's defined scope and success criteria.

Experience engaging with C-level or senior business leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with Relational Databases, NoSQL Databases, or Big Data technologies.

Experience in advanced areas of networking, including Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies.
Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems.

Experience with containers and associated technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Serverless, and Microservices.

Experience in understanding a complex customers existing software workloads and the ability to define a technical migration road map to the cloud reflecting specific customer needs.

As a Customer Engineer, you will collaborate with the Sales team to introduce Google Cloud to our customers. You will help partners as well as prospective and existing customers understand the nature of Google Cloud.
In this role, you provide creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve customers business challenges, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$213,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.

Manage the technical relationship with Googles customers, including managing product and solution briefings, and proof-of-concept work.

Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments, provide recommendations on a road map for application modernization.

Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.

Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
