SNA - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - California)
A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The CNC Programmer II supports fabrication of production and prototype tooling, molds, die fixtures, and machined parts to support our manufacturing facility by programming various types of CNC Machines mainly focusing on PartMaker and Espirit programs. The CNC programmer will use blueprints, CAD design sketches, and Engineering specifications to ensure the proper dimensions and close tolerance levels of the finished product.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create/edit programs to ensure processes are complete and quality of parts are met
- Design fixtures for manufacturing production and prototype using the software SolidWorks
- Responsible maintaining CNC program directory up to date
- Provide CNC Programming Training to Leads and Engineers
- Perform changes per engineer change request (ECR) and engineer change order (ECO) process work instructions
- Create tool paths from prints and models, identify opportunities for improvements in programs and tooling
- Evaluate jobs for correct method of manufacturing
- Program jobs to CAD file or print
- Must be excellent in creating programs at a fast pace for Mill 4 & 5 Axis, Mill-Turns and Lathe Machines (PartMaker and Espirit)
- Assists with maintaining CNC program directory up to date
- Ability to provide CNC Programming Training to other CNC Programmers
- Help to load CNC programs from DNC machine per daily production schedule
- Generates solutions, translate concepts, and information into real and practical applications
- Proficient in the understanding and interpretation of blueprints with GD&T
- Creates cutting tooling list and fixtures. Ensure the description of those match the CNC Programs
- Creates set-up work instructions
- Provides technical support as needed
- Updates CNC Programs, set-up instructions, cutting-tool list and other documentations related to the manufacturing process using company-standard software applications
- Assists with set-ups and operate CNC and secondary equipment in order to prove-out the operation trouble-shoots and revise programs
- Must be willing to train or instruct others
- Reviews design for manufacturability relative to a specific operation and communicate this among the Engineering team or revise specification as required, including GD&T
- Provides CNC Training on set-ups and equipment use
- Supports quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Associates (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience programming, tooling, and operating manual and CNC equipment (Required)

PAY RATE?
For positions located in California, pay for this job type falls within the following range and varies based on scope and complexity of job responsibilities.
$32.69 - $52.21
