Job Summary:

The Construction Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the overall project management team in planning, executing, and completing construction projects. This role involves coordinating various aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, procurement, communication, and documentation, to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Assist in creating project schedules, milestones, and timelines.
    • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project tasks are on schedule.
  2. Procurement and Material Management:
    • Collaborate with procurement to source materials, equipment, and supplies required for projects.
    • Maintain inventory and ensure timely delivery of materials to the construction site.
  3. Communication and Documentation:
    • Serve as a central point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Prepare and distribute project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and change orders.
    • Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, and approvals.
  4. Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
    • Assist in implementing and monitoring quality control procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  5. Cost Tracking and Budget Management:
    • Assist in tracking project expenses and budget.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and report variances to the project manager.
  6. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and issues and collaborate with the project manager to develop mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure that all project stakeholders are aware of potential risks and safety measures.
  7. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
    • Provide support and assistance as needed to ensure project goals are achieved.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a construction project coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
