CloudBees is seeking a

US Federal Sales Engineer

based in the

Eastern or Central United States

to join its technical sales team, supporting the US Federal sales ecosystem. This role involves working closely with sales teams, identifying opportunities, and demonstrating technical options to potential customers. As a hybrid pre- and post-sales role, the Sales Engineer will engage in technical and strategic conversations to ensure customer success with CloudBees products. This position carries a quota and directly impacts the company's revenue.
Responsibilities :
Become an expert in modern software delivery, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Release Orchestration, and DevOps
Understand CloudBees products, competitors, value proposition, and positioning
Directly work with customers, acting as a technical advisor, demonstrating product capabilities through presentations, demos, workshops, and technical validations
Discover and understand customer's digital transformation journey and the impact of CloudBees products and services
Collaborate with the product team to identify priorities discovered in field engagements
Attend trade shows when appropriate
Serve as a trusted advisor, understand customer's business pain, and demonstrate positive business outcomes of CloudBees products
Work closely with Account Executives to drive sales cycles and close deals
Mentor and coach colleagues
Deliver outstanding presentations, workshops, and webinars while effectively handling objections
Engage with all levels of the customer organization, up to C-level
Qualifications :
Prior technical sales positions, US Government, government consulting, or prior DevSecOps field experience
Experience in software development, delivery, infrastructure, or operations
Hands-on experience with agile software development or Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Feature Flagging or other DevOps methodologies
Ability to manage a high volume of prospects/customers and balance priorities across accounts
Familiarity with Jenkins (a plus if you have used it in the past)
Experience with DevSecOps technologies such as artifact management, source code management, Docker, IaC, code analysis, testing, artifact scanning, and cloud service providers
Strong technical background and motivation to continually improve sales engineering skills
Enjoys working with customers and solving technical challenges while understanding the business impact
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to craft relationships
This role is remote, with some travel required, primarily around Washington DC and nationwide US Federal Government facilities (subject to the global COVID situation).
