**Description**
**Warehouse experience preferred.**
The Warehouse Associate participates in the daily activities and operations of the Journeys Distribution Center. You will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
**Essential Job Functions:**
* Consistently at work and on time with overtime required at peaks
* Picking, pulling, and packaging of orders accurately
* Utilizes hand-held computers to receive daily tasks
* Processing and shipping of orders
* Receive, unload and place incoming inventory appropriately
* Stocking and restocking bin locations
* Performing multiple tasks within warehouse environment that could vary daily, weekly, or monthly
* Maintains safe and clean work environment by sweeping, dusting and mopping to keep shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat and clean
* Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
* Associates are required to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend at the waist, and stoop
Minimum Requirements:
**Knowledge and Skills:**
* 6 months warehouse experience preferred but not required
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Reliability and dependability are essential
* Ability to read and comprehend work-related information
* Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from managers, teammates, etc.
