**Position Summary:**

This position is needed to manage and maintain inventory levels to support the Johns Hopkins members - and has been approved as part of a of restructuring of Department - Position is needed to meet Corp Supply Chain imperatives

**Responsibilities:**

Participates in collaborative planning process with Sourcing and Procurement.

Develops inventory targets, such as ABC patterns (and/or product lifecycle code) and monitors inventory levels to optimize operations, safety stock and service levels.

Identifies long-term critical supply constraints; works with Supply Chain functions to resolve.

Monitors short-term operational efficiencies, backorders, capacities and inventories to identify potential supply interruptions to customers.

Leads vendor engagement meetings weekly to understand future supply constraints and coordinated new vendor direct opportunities.

Coordinates new product introductions, conversations and discontinuations with cooperation from Value Analysis Sourcing, Analytics and Project Management.

Leads efforts to ensure MRP data is accurate to ensure 99% fill rate and monitor substitution item stock to drive operation efficiencies.

Measures and reports on key supply chain metrics, including forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory valuation; identifies new metrics and reports to improve overall supply chain performance.

Other duties as assigned.

**Work Experience:**

1-2 years of Inventory Planning/Supply Chain experience required
