Warehouse Associate

Join our team at Pittsburgh Spray Equipment, a family owned company located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. We're a team of experts, who offer the best service to our customers, in a casual environment where fun is encouraged.

As a Warehouse Associate at Pittsburgh Spray Equipment, you'll work on the warehouse floor, processing orders by picking and packing boxes/containers for delivery. You'll send and accept shipments all while keeping our warehouse clean and safe. Our Warehouse Associates are comfortable working through seasonal temperature changes in the warehouse, enjoy moving around and being on their feet throughout the day to get things done quickly and safely.

This is a full-time position working 8:30am-5pm, Monday - Friday, including 1-hour lunch break.

Responsibilities:

Inventory -

  • Pick and pack products into bins, boxes, and containers to fulfill and complete customer orders.
  • Receive and organize incoming inventory using a walk behind forklift.
  • Maintain an inventory list and assist with restocking products and supplies.
  • Report defective products as discovered, maintaining thorough notes and paperwork.
  • Review and process invoices as directed by leadership and keep excellent documentation on supply and payments for recordkeeping.
  • Meet shipping targets of 45-60 orders per day.
Warehouse Safety & Coordination -
  • Ensure a safe warehouse environment by keeping an organized workstation, alerting supervisors of any concerns, and completing continuing education for safety and hazards.
  • Review and discuss any issues or process improvements for warehouse shipping and receiving operations with the warehouse leader.
  • Greet occasional customers who come in to drop off/pick up equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of the team and independently
Preferred:
  • Experience working with inventory control systems
  • Knowledge of warehouse documentation and experience counting inventory and orders
  • Experience operating certain power equipment is a plus
  • Experience in equipment repair, mechanics and/or construction type roles
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift, and carry items in the warehouse up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and be on feet for extended periods of time.
