Group/Division Summary:
The Sr Manager, Proposals Manger is a solution provider to our Biologics customers.
How will you make an impact?
This position will have the opportunity to enable our clients to cure genetic, rare, and otherwise untreatable diseases through our leading Biologics business.
Position Summary:
This position leads a Global Proposal Team through managers and individuals that generate new business work statements, business expansions and change orders for the BIO business. The role will maintain and innovate on the teams supporting systems, tools, and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Write and lead teams generation of Proposals, Work Statements, and Change of Scopes for new and current client programs. Ensure accuracy of these documents, including resource estimates, scope, pricing, and future revisions.
Ability to function optimally in a matrixed organization with high agility to navigate between technical requirements and operational limitations.
Report and supervise work statement metrics, trends and dashboards.
Conducts themselves in a pragmatic, proactive manner with a level of autonomy guided by goals and objectives for Biologics Commercial Operations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with an attention to detail.
Ability to interact with clients to communicate our approach to meeting their goals.
Leader in process improvement initiates.
Availability to travel up to 10-25% of the time.
Supervision
Supports and engages team to have close ties with manufacturing sites to ensure alignment in proposals.
Engages, coaches, enables outstanding performance by team with an eye for succession.
Ability to build clear meaningful objectives and facilitate career planning through individual development plans for team members.
Builds structured, organized team standard work to ensure teams ability to flex in face-paced environment with challenging priorities and deadlines.
Promotes and supports effective cross-functional communication with openness to feedback within the team.
Supports effective customer interactions and communication in support of business development.
Keep thoughtful approach across global team to ensure support for our global customers and our manufacturing sites in: Italy, Belgium, and both US coasts.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelors degree in relevant scientific subject area or equivalent experience a must.
Experience
8+ years of industry experience, with strong preference for technical experience in Biologics field. Additional experience in sterile drug product manufacturing is welcomed.
2+ years in a leadership role of teams of 3 or more.
3+ years of proposal writing experience.
Previous contract manufacturing organization experience preferred with familiarity in Good Manufacturing Practices.
Previous experience with services budgeting and forecasting.
Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word as well as Salesforce.com and Smartsheet database.
