Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Client Services, the Account Director (AD) will own strategy and operations of various multi-channel marketing programs. The AD will monitor, direct, and motivate day-to-day interactions between the account team and clients, actively nurturing strong relationships with existing and possible clients. They will represent Epsilon within the cross-agency client team, positioning us as a crucial strategic partner for our clients. This description describes core functions of the position, working in a team environment requires flexibility as the company and client relationships grow and evolve. adapting to the dynamics of a client environment is required to help support client deliverables and foster the growth of the account team.

Essential Functions

  • Direct and dedicated management of larger accounts
  • Owns daily client communications and directs staff and other functional departments
  • Advising and building strategy for day-to-day campaigns, including recommending optimizations & determines if new strategy needs to be considered
  • Owns all special projects, new business, and one-off requests - outside of day-to-day execution
  • Participate in client's marketing planning process
  • Responsible for client presentations - or approvals - for all client facing content including but not limited to; reports, results, and proposals
  • Overall projection/benchmark tracking
  • Primary IMS Point of Contact (POC) and responsible for positive relationship
  • Issue resolution/Escalation
  • T1 portfolio Budget management, including efficiency
  • Advises with Account Sup for team growth and management of FTEs
  • T1 POC for Franklin
  • Supervises project briefs and creative briefs
  • Responsible for generation of SOWs and estimates as well as invoices and payment coordination
  • Ensure service levels and tactics are keeping with strategic goals and that service levels are met
  • Formulate account specific service tactics, utilizing team orientation
  • Manage the team's account effort and increase efficiency of programs
  • Owns the data processing process, including directing the internal production data teams as to specific campaign requirements.
  • Build team dynamic and chemistry across the day-to-day associates
  • Team management including reviewing utilization rates, participating in the hiring, and recruiting process, and developing employees for career progression
  • Manages career paths by coaching and mentoring direct reports
  • Holds associates accountable for their work by setting expectations, achieving commitments, providing feedback, and evaluating effectiveness
  • Understanding of Epsilon technologies to best solution client needs

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strategic Leadership understanding of customer communication journeys related to loyalty retention and audience building.

  • Able to coordinate projects across functional teams

  • Expertise in client management, specifically regarding the establishment and supervision of client expectations

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, or comparable experience
  • 7+ years of experience in related field with leadership experience
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently, self-starter, with strong initiative
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, while coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
  • A strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint expertise is a must
  • Automotive marketing or digital media experience a plus
  • Able to work 8:30AM - 5:00PM in a team environment. Two days required to be in the Franklin, TN office, normally Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Limited travel outside of TN may be expected
