    A BRIEF OVERVIEW
    The Manager, Maintenance & Facilities, utilizes the strengths of the maintenance team to maximize available uptime and production capabilities of all equipment within Orchid Bridgeport. He/she is responsible for all aspects of facility upkeep. The Manager, Maintenance & Facilities reports to the Site Director for Bridgeport.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Lead and develop team members following the One Orchid global talent management approach to select, manage, and develop our best team. Ensure the growth of our positive business culture through behaviors that align with our core values and leadership competencies.
    • Develop and implement overall maintenance strategy and maintenance program to support manufacturing needs to minimize or eliminate lost production due to equipment downtime.
    • Review existing work orders and work with maintenance lead to prioritize work and assign tasks to the maintenance team.
    • Communicate plans with affected lead persons or production managers.
    • Ensure maintenance software is up to date for current status.
    • Check on team members' progress; advise and recommend; assist with repairs and troubleshooting when needed; assist in communicating/escalating with OEM service departments if necessary.
    • Identify causes for all machine breakdowns with improvement actions, including and not limited to spare parts stocking strategies.
    • Manage new equipment installation, plant layout projects including working with outside contractors and vendors and evaluating EHS aspects and impacts to ensure completion on time and on budget.
    • As needed, ensure supplies for new equipment installs and equipment moves are planned for and ordered, read new machine manuals and ensure machine is entered in the CMMS and ERP software, and assist in obtaining quotes and hire contractors for various projects when needed.
    • May advise on machine purchases, manage building or renovation projects, design electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems, or edit computer parameters for PCDNC communication.
    • Communicate return to service time with appropriate follow-up, including measuring compliance to commitments.
    • Lead OEE (availability) implementation and strategic action planning to consistently improve.


    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • High School Or Equivalent (Required)
    • Bachelor (Preferred)

    EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • 3+ Years of experience in production equipment maintenance
    • 2+ Years of Experience in a Manufacturing Environment (Required)
    • Experience in IT Hardware installation (Preferred)
    • Experience Implementing Capital Equipment Projects, PLC 5, and Control Logic (Preferred)
