The North American LSV Technical Sales Engineer position is a customer focused position requiring a skill set combining both Application Engineering and Sales Engineering. You will have the technical skills required to provide direct, hands-on application & installation support, with the personality, motivation, discipline necessary to actively pursue pre-and post - sales activities. You will have significant contact with existing and potential customers, by phone, web conference and in-person and will travel throughout North America, with focus on your home base region of Midwest or Southeast USA.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, your time will be split between application support and technical sales. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Main support engineer for incoming application and technical support related inquiries
Coordinate and assist with Onsite Application & Commissioning Services throughout North America along with our Application Engineering team.
Coordinate as needed with appropriate Polytec personnel in USA and Germany.
Regional pre-and post-sales project management in coordination with the LSV Sales Manager
Travel throughout North America with focus on Midwest or Southeast.
Key characteristics and requirements:
Self-motivated, disciplined and solution oriented.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable in heavy industrial manufacturing environments
Engineering Degree, Science Degree or related experience with electro/mechanical systems
Ability to travel 40% of the time within North America and to Germany
Fluent in Spanish or German is a plus
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the USA.
