GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Proposal Manager will serves as a key member and contributor to the sales and marketing department.Primarily responsible for the management development and compliant submittal of high quality winning DOD and DHS related proposals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for managing and coordinating the entire proposal development submittal/award life cycle Analyzes the RFP on receipt, developing proposal strategies and schedules, preparing strategy documentation Collect and analyze data from diverse sources to solve problems that require a professional level of knowledge in sales Creating a proposal template, outline, compliance matrices and a proposal checklist Chair and lead a proposal kick-off meeting, assigning team roles and responsibilities to include assigning specialized technical and administrative writing Provides guidance and assistance as required to authors Maintaining status and progress on in-process proposal efforts Manage the proposal document production, editing and formation of a 100% compliant Dod/DHS proposal effort

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary Ability to adhere to workplace rules

Education and Experience 4 year college/university degree (technical field preferred), or equivalent experience. 5+years related experience in sales supporting customers.Knowledge of Gichner products, processes and procedures

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office Environment Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools) Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Ability to tolerate constant noise (machine motors - large fans) Ability to work safely in the presence of hazardous chemicals and hazardous conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time The employee frequently is required to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and speak or listen Job Benefits
