The Opportunity
This position works out of our Austin, TX location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
Responsible for planning and supervising the resources and processes required for successful implementation of Abbott Integrated Systems. Involved in the management of activities to ensure that scope and project plans are implemented in accordance with Abbott project methodologies, through proposal and project start up, execution and completion. The Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day implementation, and representing Abbott on status reports and in meetings. This position requires exemplary motivation, communication, and organization skills.
What You’ll Work On
- The primary function of the Project Manager position is to manage key Margin & Profitability (M&P) Value Streams for the CRM Division. This individual will drive key Value Streams, and associated resources, while collaborating across Business Unit leadership to drive and achieve margin goals.
- Provide leadership and management of high impact change programs that significantly improve productivity and cost structure of CRM business. The scope will include both long term planning and roadmap development, as well as short-term execution of critical projects and programs.
- This position reports to the Senior Project Manager, Commercial Services, Margin & Profitability
- Lead key division Margin & Profitability Value Streams, including execution of large scale / high impact initiatives and reporting of progress to Leadership.
- Initial focus on Accessory Management, from a project management and pricing standpoint, becoming a subject matter expert in the Value Streams being led
- Design and lead projects for long-term value creation; determine the ‘what must happen/stay on track’ with an analytical / data first mindset
- Establish and evaluate key metrics; drive results through innovative value creation and initiatives for continuous, measurable improvements
- Provide valuation models for material decisions to Abbott
- Collaborate and influence across Business Unit leadership and staff to assign goals, develop project funnels, support execution, and manage / mitigate risks.
- Develop & deploy sustaining tools and processes that will continue after the Value Stream “ends” for Sustainability
- Ensures that high impact programs are defined, resourced and implemented in order to achieve financial objectives as defined by both the Annual and Long-Range Plans. - performing bench marking and cost structure analysis to define significant opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with all functions to support the CRM journey
- Develop roadmap for CRM Value Stream and execute to roadmap milestones.
- Support any key strategic initiatives and activities being driven by CRM organization to improve margin and productivity.
- Manage large-scale projects to reduce costs, reduce inventory investment, improve/streamline "go to market" strategies/processes and/or improve service to CRM customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Major or similar field
- 7 years Project Manager Experience
- Proficient in Excel
- Knowledge of PowerPoint

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
