The Senior Bid and Proposal Manager at Analogic plays a critical role in driving the company's growth by leading the development and submission of compelling bids and proposals for aviation security projects worldwide. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, engage in market research, and leverage industry expertise to create winning proposals that align with the company's strategic goals.

As the Senior Bid and Proposal Manager you will:

Proposal Development:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of high-quality bids and proposals for aviation security projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Engineering, Legal, and Finance, to gather relevant information and create comprehensive proposals.
  • Create an efficient, repeatable bid & proposal process
  • Evaluate existing and new automation tools/processes
  • Organize and implement bid review/approval template & process
  • Keep current a historic reference price book
  • Generate and keep current proposal content library
  • Ensure configurations are documented for Wins for Sales Order Entry
  • Create and maintain a competitive matrix
  • Evaluate global B&P resource requirements
Market Research:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform the development of winning proposals.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of customer requirements and tailor proposals to address specific challenges and opportunities.
International Engagement:
  • Manage the bid and proposal process for domestic and international projects, understanding and navigating diverse regulatory environments and cultural considerations.
  • Coordinate with regional teams and partners to ensure proposals meet local requirements and preferences.
Relationship Management
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, airports, and security organizations.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to identify and pursue strategic partnerships to enhance proposal competitiveness.
Education/Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field plus 8+ years of proven experience in managing bids and proposals, preferably in the aviation security or defense industry.
  • Familiarity with Explosives Detection Systems (EDS) and associated products is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
