Description
The Warehouse Associate position performs an array of functions that may include, but not limited to, receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and/or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Warehouse Associate Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
First Shift - In person position
Pay Rate - $16-$17 DOE
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
- Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
- Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
- Open boxes, crates and other containers for receiving inspection.
- Maintains inventory by recording amounts of materials or items received through a computer. (May also assist in counting of physical inventory)
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule. (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Prepare parcels for mailing. Maintains safe and clean work environment at all times by keeping shelves, pallet area, work stations and public restrooms neat and orderly. (sweep, clean dust, mop)
- To accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on the cycle count list.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
- Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.
- Wear the proper safety equipment.
- Help keep facility clean and tidy
Position Requirements Warehouse Associate Requirements: - Good organizational and time management skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Dependable and reliable (must include transportation).
- Inventory, equipment maintenance, basic data entry and computer skills may be required.
- Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally (with assistance) lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The Warehouse Associate position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, and occasionally required to sit, climb or balance.
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
- Must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked. Basic math and reasoning skills.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions.
- Help keep facility clean and tidy.
- Drug and Background screening contingent upon full hire.
- Full time position offers 401K, PTO, as well as Health, Dental and Vision insurance after 90 days.
