I.                   Summary

EMR USA has an opening for a Material Handler Operator / Hydraulic Crane Operator.  In this role, the Equipment Operator will operate a material handler or excavator to move metal throughout the yard. To be successful, the Equipment Operator must be able to work independently to accomplish daily tasks.

 

II.                Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Operates material handler and/or grapple crane to move material
  • Complete all required daily equipment reports
  • Perform daily maintenance and inspection on equipment
  • Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

III.             Required Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, manage time and multitask

 

IV.             Education & Experience

  • Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years' experience operating a track-hoe or hydraulic crane.
  • High school diploma or GED

 

V.                Other Job Demands

While performing the essential functions of this job, the Material Handler Operator will be working in an outdoor environment. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
