Forklift Operator - Military veterans preferred

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operators to join our dynamic logistics team. Spherion Staffing of Lake and Sumter County has multiple Forklift Operator positions to join a Logistics Company located in Leesburg, FL.

As a Forklift Operator in our company, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of goods in our freezer environment. If you have a strong ability to follow directions, possess at least eighteen months of rack experience, and thrive in a fast-paced logistics setting, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

These are temp-to-hire positions. There are various schedules are available.
A Shift: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Wednesday and every other Thursday with a pay rate of $16.00/hr.
B Shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Monday to Wednesday and every other Sunday with a pay rate of $17.00/hr.
C Shift: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday to Sunday and every other Thursday with a pay rate of $17.25/hr.
D Shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Thursday to Saturday and every other Sunday with a pay rate of $18/hr.

Responsibilities:
-Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with company and industry standards.
-Efficiently load, unload, and stack products, pallets, and materials in designated storage areas using forklifts.
-Ensure accurate product identification, count, and documentation during the handling and movement process.
-Follow established procedures and protocols for inventory control, stock rotation, and proper storage methods.
-Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize storage space and maintain an organized and tidy work environment.
-Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Skills:
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products, materials, and documentation.
-Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Minimum of eighteen (18) months of experience operating forklifts in a rack environment.
-Proven ability to follow instructions and work efficiently within established procedures.
-Comfortable working in a freezer environment with the ability to withstand cold temperatures.
