We are looking to add a Project Manager, Real Estate to join our Office Services team in Waukee, IA. Candidates thrive in our environment when they harness their collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a love of learning.

Responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of Holmes Murphy's growing facilities footprint. This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. This role will also monitor and present project updates to the executive committee, stakeholders, clients, or project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in developing and overseeing project plans and is accountable for ensuring the objectives of the project are achieved.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with corporate real estate partner to identify potential office locations and conduct site surveys.
  • Partner with legal and finance on lease contract negotiation.
  • Create and manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate design, architecture, construction, finishing, space planning and layout; manage vendors and service providers in addition to local leadership.
  • Monitor project progress and anticipated total spend against budget and ROI.
  • Identify and anticipate risks and issues; facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation.
  • Identify all stakeholders impacted by the project, managing their expectations and project involvement as needed.
  • Ensure quality standards are defined, monitored, and met throughout the project.
  • Ensure all key stakeholders are kept informed of project issues, obstacles and progress, including status reporting.
  • Coordinate with other Holmes Murphy divisions such as IT, Marketing and Talent & Culture to manage scope of projects.

  • Ability to work with detail and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and utilize advance technology associated with job functions.
  • Capable of exercising discretion in confidential matters and using independent judgement.
  • Ability to communicate well with persons at all levels of authority in writing or verbally.
  • Ability to be available for work on a daily basis for a minimum of 7.75 hours per day and extended hours as necessary to perform duties.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to pursue job related education.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and courteous manner.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HMA's Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or related experience in Project Management.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a project manager.
