Altus Group is seeking a skilled Director of Complex Properties to become a key member on one of the largest and most widely recognized property tax teams in the country. Reporting to the Vice President this role is based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Our future director will be a data center expert in property tax who possesses strong negotiation skills. They will deliver on the service line's business objectives; align the office/team's priorities to the service line's objectives; meet revenue targets; drive efficiency initiatives to contribute to margin improvement; expand and strengthen our brand in the market; and drive a high-performance environment.

Key Requirements:
Deliver on priorities

- Execution of the service line's top priorities. Cascade the service line's business objectives to all levels and roles for clarity of purpose and set clear objectives for all members of the team. With accountability checks and measures, drive a focused, high-performance organization that is fully aligned with US Tax.

Achieve revenue and EBITDA targets

- Protect and expand existing clients. Ensure account and client managers are protecting and expanding client relationships. Monitor engagement scope and pricing to optimize fee opportunities and drive margin improvement. Closely monitor case status for most accuracy in forecasting, timely adjusting for material wins or misses.

Optimize process, technology and resources to drive efficiency

- Actively participate in the development and implementation of initiatives focused on driving business optimization. Champion change management to ensure full understanding and adoption of processes, technology and standards for consistency across Tax.

Expand market share and build brand

- Deliver on growth strategy and brand strategy for

office/region/speciality.

Hold self and practitioners accountable for timely and effective execution of all sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives. Partner and collaborate with director peers in other service lines to identify and pursue cross selling opportunities. Support sales team as subject matter expert on sales meetings, timely and effectively.

Performance management

- Ensure resources are in the proper roles with measurable performance metrics and accountability to goals. Ensure succession planning needs are understood and training is occurring to plan accordingly. Foster an environment of performance feedback and career coaching. Drive engagement through a highly effective management team and strong communication.

Key Qualifications
Experience working in Data Centers
Skilled in negotiations of value and credits and incentives
Expert in Property Tax
Minimum 10 years experience working in property tax
Undergraduate bachelors degree
Education in accounting, finance or similar field
