This role is hybrid, with an expectation of two to three days in the office each week, subject to change based on organizational needs. SUMMARY: Will provide daily reconciliations, controls, and administrative support required by all Mizuho Bank credit related portfolios. RESPONSIBILITIES: (1) General Duties On a daily basis reconcile bank entire loan portfolio from ACBS (Loan system), Flex Cube (General Ledger), OBS (Treasury) and MTS (Payment) systems using daily exception reports Responsible for the daily and monthly reconciliation of various suspense accounts. This includes following-up on any discrepancies to ensure that all necessary entries are processed in ACBS. Investigate and resolve system related problems or errors in ACBS. Input Loan related transactions as required in ACBS. Evaluate/Establish new reports to minimize risk exposure and maximize operational efficiency from control perspective From time to time, assist with various intra/inter division departmental projects to provide requested information. (2) Exception Duties (As requested by Unit Head) Perform periodic data integrity checks/quality assurance checks Analyze loan historical data to identify operational risk, operational error trend and implement compensating controls where possible Other duties and projects as assigned (3) Compliance Obtain a basic understanding of the applicable rules and regulations that govern the Bank. Understand that all questions and/or clarification about such rules and regulations should be directed to the Americas Legal and Compliance Division. Attend Annual Compliance Training presented by the Americas Legal and Compliance Division. Read and respond as necessary to all compliance-related reference and directive materials received. Comply with the Bank’s “Code of Conduct”. Ensure that all credit deals remain compliant with covenant and originally approved conditions, and with bank and regulatory requirements Designated as person responsible for reporting potentially prohibited transaction(s) (OFAC related) upon detection QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate degree with 1-3 years of experience reconciling/managing loans. Experience with loan operating systems (ACBS/Loan IQ). Experience with syndicated loan administration. Advanced Excel skills including (vlookup, pivot tables, Index/match, shortcuts) Experience with compliance in a lending area. Experience with Loan Sales and Trading. Proficient in management of lending products. Consultative skills. Competent written and oral communications skills. Organizational skills Ability to identify and solve problems The expected base salary ranges from $55,000 - $70,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
