Donor Relations and Stewardship Manager
LOCATION: St. Louis, MO
STATUS:   Full-time, Exempt
SALARY: $40,000 - $50,000 (based on experience) plus full benefits

SUMMARY
We are searching for a Donor Relations and Stewardship Manager for a Nonprofit located in St. Louis, MO.  The Donor Relations and Stewardship Manager is responsible for the donor and grant database, donor communications, and supporting fundraising activities. This position is also specifically responsible for managing the volunteer program and coordinating social media/digital marketing.  The Donor Relations and Stewardship Manager is a primary member of the agency’s fundraising team. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Managing online gift portal
  • Creating weekly gift reports
  • Maintaining gift records and reconciling with the accountant monthly
  • Continuous review of processes to ensure there are no gaps in reporting and to ensure audits go smoothly 
  • Processing tax credit letters
  • Writing thank you letters for all financial gifts and other donations
  • Assist with the development of digital messaging & branding
  • Cultivate an online following through social media and the agency’s website to promote the agency’s brand, programs, and fundraising needs
  • Use nonprofit fundraising best practices to manage the agency’s donor database
  • Manage all gift and reporting functions through the donor database
  • Recruit, train, and manage agency volunteers to meet the needs of the agency
  • Track and report volunteer hours
  • Create and update volunteer job descriptions for development interns and other fundraising support titles
  • Maintain a professional appearance, as well as an accommodating and pleasant attitude
  • Work effectively and collegially with all levels of internal and external contacts and maintain good working relationships with co-workers
  • Assist otherwise as requested in the work of the agency
  • Be a positive ambassador for the agency

REQUIREMENTS 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, with at least two years of experience in fundraising database and volunteer management 
  • Is a team player and collaborator and has high emotional intelligence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships and ask for gifts
  • Experience and comfort with communications technology and social media
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Judicial in protecting confidential information about donors and clients
  • Culturally competent and sensitive to the issues facing low-income, urban households
  • Preference for working in a faith-based environment
  • Required to have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable personal transportation (reimbursed for mileage)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most of the work for this position is performed under normal office conditions.
