Description

CHRISTUS St. Vincent's growing orthopaedic team, is seeking a fulltime Family Sports Medicine physician. The physician will work in the outpatient orthopaedic clinic and travel to Los Alamos two days per week to provide care.

The physician will develop therapeutic relationships with patients, provision primary care services in the outpatient setting including referral to specialists as needed, provide consultative evaluation of patients with musculoskeletal ailments, integrate input from other physicians and team members to inform diagnoses and treatment programs, assess whether injuries require medication, physical therapy, or a combination of both, guide patients in improving their physical and mental condition, managing pain, and avoiding future injuries. The physician will also maintain records in EPIC, identify risk factors for injuries and educate patients on how to manage overall health, existing injuries, and future prevention.
