Our Headquarters Claims Department is currently seeking a Casualty Litigation Specialist to handle and supervise the processing of large and complex casualty claims. The position is based in our Fairfield, OH location. We currently offer a hybrid work environment.

Starting Salary:

The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • manage litigation on assigned files
  • evaluate claims and set reserves from inception to closure

  • participate in coverage analysis for the assigned claims

  • provide technical direction and support to examiners and all field claims associates

  • prepare reports and other written correspondence for internal and external users

  • participate in mediations, seminars, field unit meetings and complete other tasks as needed

  • travel as required

Qualifications:

Be equipped with:

  • at least five years prior casualty claim handling experience

  • demonstrated expertise in coverage analysis

  • experience in detailed analysis of facts relevant to an evaluation of coverage, liability and damages
  • proficient use of a claims management system

  • ability to multitask and maintain positive demeanor

You've earned:

  • AIC, CPCU, SCLA designations, or other relevant education
