registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (job id 285) Excellent Compensation & Exceptional Comprehensive Benefits Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Time, Plus 11 Paid Federal Holidays Medical/Dental/Vision, STD/LTD/Life and Health Savings Account available Annual CME Stipend and License/Certification Reimbursement Matching 401K Core Duties: • Possess knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to provide comprehensive primary care to women and their babies in a variety of settings to include antepartum management, intrapartum management, postpartum care, and newborn care. • Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders to include, but not limited to premature birth, fetal death, forceps delivery, and C sections, as well as broad knowledge of normal deliveries and their complications and indicated therapeutic intervention required. • Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations as required. • Must have the ability to acquire and use basic computer skills to enter patient data and extract patient information using all DOD government medical sites (i.e. Military Health System (MHS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) GENESIS). • Medical Records Documentation. Health care providers shall complete medical records documentation within 72 business hours of the encounter with the patient.
