Job Position: Forklift Operator

Location: Brookfield, IL 60513

Pay Rate: $16.00 to $18

Shift: All Shifts

As a warehouse forklift driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. You will also perform various warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Load and unload materials from trucks and move them to designated storage areas within the warehouse.

Stack and organize merchandise in a neat and efficient manner to optimize space utilization.

Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.

Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and disposing of trash.

Inspect forklifts and other equipment regularly and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Assist in other warehouse tasks such as receiving, shipping, and inventory control as needed.

Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.

Knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices.

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines at all times.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
