Wrth Baer Supply is searching for aWarehouse Associatefor our Distribution Center inVernon Hills, IL. Join our growing and dynamic team and help us in receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. You will interact with customers when they come to pick up their orders. You will handle customer inquiries and concerns with courtesy, respect, professionalism and a high sense of urgency. Salary based on skills & experience.

Role Responsibilities - MUST be able to operate cherry picker (order picker with harness) and sit-down forklift

• Process orders, locating products, processing returns, on-foot and vehicular order picking
• Packing orders
• Operating cherry picker (also called an order picker) with harness to pick and put away materials in the warehouse racks
• Working in a team environment on a variety of inbound and outbound warehouse duties
• Operating a sit-down forklift and learning to drive other material handling vehicles as needed
• Assist customers with loading their order onto their vehicles
• Assist with general warehouse responsibilities (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1+ year of warehouse experience (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, loading/unloading trucks)
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Sit-down forklift experience and order picker experience is ideal

Role Characteristics

• Stands for 3 to 4 hours at a time
• Monday-Friday schedule 10:00am-6:30pm
• Overtime is not mandatory, but it is offered to employees on a regular basis
• Lifts up to 70 pounds
• Withstands fluctuating temperature changes
• Quickly learns new systems

• Excels in a quick-paced environment
• Is okay with shifting job duties
