Job Description:The Internship program at COTA gives students and those seeking internships the opportunity to learn more about the live events industry. Interns experience a true hands-on work environment while assisting staff members with all aspects and responsibilities that go into producing all types of successful events COTA puts into production. Circuit of the Americas is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player that knows how to balance networking and relationship building with the attention to detail that is required for successful execution of events.This will be a paid, in-person internship including major events.Dates of InternshipInternships at COTA run in unison as University semesters: SpringSummerFallInternship workWork is scheduled weekly in coordination as the internship program requires. COTA requests:Hours/Week: 15 - 20hrs/week In-person/on-site work at COTA - Circuit of the Americas Campus, Austin TX, Internship types at COTACOTA partners with several universities and organizations throughout the state. We believe there should be opportunity options for students and those seeking internships to gain experience and understanding in our industry. Unpaid Internships are for college students that require an internship for class credit. During the internship period, they may be offered paid part-time employment to work events/motorsport/concerts (evenings/weekends). They will not be paid for any other hours during the internship program. If the intern wishes to continue employment, they can review and apply to any open position that COTA has posted. Paid Internships are for college students that are looking to learn about COTA and gain work experience but do not have a class that requires an internship. This Internship can last up to a full semester per department. The rate for a paid internship is $12.50 hourly. Paid Interns will also work at the same rate for events/motorsport/concerts (evenings/weekends) that are NOT part of the daily internship program - hours will be tracked separately. Once the semester is complete, the internship program with that department will be completed. If the department would like to offer further employment to the intern, they will need to submit a new position request form for a part-time or full-time position a minimum of one (1) week before the conclusion of the internship program. If the intern wishes to experience working with another department, they may apply for an internship in another semester.
