We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsWhat You Will Do In This Role:* You will perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist for patients that are acutely ill or have medical needs, which result in mobility and activities of daily living deficits.* You will monitor and document every therapy encounter, identify any adverse responses/follow-ups, report tolerance and progress of therapy interventions in medical record.* You will be responsible for performing patient screenings and deliver to supervising occupational therapist for determination of screen recommendations and for securing the necessary supplies for treatment.* You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Rehab team.* You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.What Qualifications You Will Need:* Associate Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.* Physical Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.* 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant: Acute, Inpatient Rehab, or Outpatient setting is preferred.* Current BLS certification is required.HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress, a campus of HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, is a 165+ bed, general acute care hospital, founded in 2006 by local physicians who wanted to create a sophisticated, patient-friendly healthcare environment for their community.
