Job Description: General Statement of Duties: The person in this position is responsible for assisting in providing the laboratory portion of the PTA curriculum. He/she will provide support, guidance and instruction to student while in the laboratory setting and provide the student with relevant and timely feedback concerning all work submitted to the instructor. He/she will mentor and role model to students' professional, ethical l and competent physical therapy practice. The individual will remain in contact with the PTA department chair and other faculty members through meetings and weekly written reports. Responsibilities: Assist primary PTA instructor in the review and student performance of clinical competencies and laboratory check offs; participate in community service and professional development activities as pertains to student learning experiences;Supervise open lab time. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree in PTA;Current Massachusetts licensure as PT or PTA; Possess a minimum of two years full time experience in PT or its' equivalent;Evidence of competence in the area of instruction;Maintained expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities. Desired Qualifications Previous teaching experience in a community college;APTA membership.
