FL-Food Service Workers - Military veterans preferred

A & Associates is looking for Food Service Assistants to work within a large school district in Orange County, FL.

We are looking for people with a passion for serving quality food, having fun at work, and delivering amazing customer service.

Food positions are responsible for the preparation of food items on a daily basis while maintaining a clean sanitized kitchen area. Consistently follows recipes and procedures and adheres to company standards.

You would be responsible for providing excellent customer service, with quick and efficient attention to the customer. Greets customers assemble food orders, maintains appropriate portion control, and collects and processes payment from the customer. Maintains cleanliness of counters and floors at all times. Our crew makes the front line look and feel as great as it does!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine trays to ensure that they contain required items
• Place food servings on plates or trays according to orders or instructions
• Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines, such as those for special diets, are followed
• Load trays with accessories such as eating utensils, napkins, or condiments
• Clean or sterilize dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, or facilities
• Monitor food preparation or serving techniques to ensure that proper procedures are followed
• Take food orders and relay orders to kitchens or serving counters so they can be filled
• Carry food, silverware, or linen on trays or use carts to carry trays
• Determine where patients or patrons would like to eat their meals and help them get situated
• Prepare food items, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, or beverages
• Remove trays and stack dishes for return to kitchen after meals are finished
• Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, or straws
• Record amounts and types of special food items served to customers
• Total checks, present them to customers and accept payment for services

• Proficiency in written and verbal English
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and work
• Motivated to work and grow with a senior population
• Knowledge of Cleaning Standards in a commercial food operation

• Reliable transportation
• Six months of dining room service experience
• Experience in food preparation
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible/participate in teamwork
• Experience working with a senior population
• Experience in a service industry

• Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs., using proper body
• Ability to bend or kneel for up to 15 consecutive minutes to do cleaning tasks in the kitchen
• Ability to work standing, walking, or moving for 4 - 4.75 hours without the need to sit down
