Physical Therapy Assistant PRN - Military veterans preferred

Under a supervising Physical Therapist & the Director of Rehab Services, the Physical Therapy Assistant [PTA] will be implementingtreatment plans and providing medically necessary physical therapy to restorefunction , prevent disability, decrease pain, and promote healing followingdisease, injury or sickness. The PTAwill help the patient reach his/her maximum potential and assume a place insociety while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. This will be done in a variety of settingsincluding home health, outpatient, and inpatient. The therapist will need knowledge andcompetency to provide care based on physical, psycho-social, education level,and safety concerns for neonate, infant, toddler, adolescent, adult and geriatricpopulations. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:Associates degree from approved schoolof PTA, or equal of Grandfather clause with greater than 2 years experience inmultiple settings.Current valid Physical Therapy AssistantLicense in Louisiana, or a temporary permit granted by LSBPTE.
