We are looking for a self-driven compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Home Health Department. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package. Shift: Part-time 64 hours every 2 weeks 8:00am-4:30pm : 4 days a week You can apply online at www.fitzgibbon.org/careers Candidate needs to have the following: Home Health Physical Therapist Assistants help improve the quality of life for patients who are homebound and/or recovering from an illness. Under the supervision of a physical therapist and under a physician's plan of care, Home Health PTAs provide clients with physical therapy services to increase mobility, increase performance, and help restore prior function. The PTA works with patients to restore function, and increase performance by educating and helping assist in both active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training. Instructing patients on proper care techniques and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, etc. to maintain safety. Documenting all services provided to ensure safety, accuracy, and timely billing of therapy services. Ensuring that patient care follows the physical therapist's established plan of care, the employer's guidelines, professional standards, and federal and state guidelines, and be adapt in various technologies for documenting care and understanding directives.
