The Role & Department

Genmab is on an exciting journey! In just a brief time, we have evolved from an R&D (Research & Development) company, who licensed its products for partners to market, to end-to-end biotechnology company with full commercialization capabilities and will shortly be bringing our products directly to our customers. Having partnerships with AbbVie, Seagen, and BioNTech, a full clinical program with multiple products in Phase 3 these are exciting times. The Genmab IT and Digital organization plays a critical role in the development and execution of Genmab’s IT and Digital ambition. We are looking to apply the power of breakthrough digital technologies to solve some of the most challenging needs across our business. Our Digital strategy will include solution sets that accelerate early science, speed development of our medicines, or create exceptional experiences with our Patients and the Providers who care for them. As a company focused on science and innovation, we are looking to make bold plays in digital to make a dramatic difference in how we work and engage our stakeholders. The Enterprise Applications role plays a key role by ensuring successful execution of the build and support of enterprise applications for collaboration, workflow automation and integration.

Joining Genmab IT and Digital organization at this critical time affords a hands-on leader the unique opportunity to lead the build out of a new set of digital capabilities and practices from the ground up in line with organizational growth aspirations. The Enterprise applications position works with the key Business Digital Product stakeholders and manages the technical aspects of Product development including articulation of the product vision, accountability for the Product roadmap and prioritization of Product features and functionality.

This leader will join the Genmab IT and Digital Products Leadership Team and report directly to the Vice President, Global Digital Products, Commercialization & Enabling.

  • The individual is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to ensure that optimized workflow, integration or collaborations solutions are delivered leveraging enterprise platforms such as Office 365, BPM and Integration platforms

  • Proactively collects feedback from multiple stakeholders through every iteration to ensure the digital solution meets the need of our Patient, Customer & Partner and Employees and continues to deliver value

  • Develops and fosters innovative methodologies to continuously improve Genmab Digital solutions in the areas of collaboration, integration and workflow automation

  • Works collaboratively across IT&D and business functions to achieve strategic initiatives and ensure value driven outcomes

Key responsibilities include

The key responsibilities for this role will be, but not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the key business and technology stakeholders

  • Understand customer needs and translate them into product and technical requirements that the product team must focus on, or be added to the backlogs

  • Create and evolve the Technology Product roadmaps, defining which business capabilities the product should have, and what business outcomes those capabilities should achieve – in areas of workflow automation, collaboration and integration

  • Assist in the understanding of technical dependencies and execution priorities for solutions

  • Assist and advice the Business Product Manager on key technical decisions and to define, manage, and accept technical stories

  • Support the architectural integrity of solutions

  • Embrace the customer-focused culture of Genmab and develop Digital opportunities that support and accelerate business and commercial strategies

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Digital Product Development & Delivery or other related discipline.

  • Minimum of 7 years of IT execution and operations experience, including specific experience in workflow automation and Business Process Mgt platforms, Office 365/Sharepoint and collaboration platforms, and direct Experience working with application integration, B2B integration, microservices and API architecture

  • Minimum of 3 years of Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience is required; Commercial/Marketing/Patient Services and Medical affairs experience strongly preferred. Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable

  • Experience working with Scrum and Agile development methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all organizational levels through clear, concise and impactful verbal and written communication skills

  • Intranet delivery experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to partner with, help build, and mentor a high performing and cohesive team

  • Strong problem-solving abilities

  • Adaptable to handle a fast-paced working environment

  • Experience working with global teams of both colleagues and contractors

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging Digital technologies with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience focusing on Digital Solutions, with specific experience in areas such as: Cloud, Automation, etc.

  • Excellent analytical, strategic, conceptual thinking, planning, and execution skills

  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units

  • Ability to build consensus, making decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives

  • Strong third-party management skills, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business/science-based concepts to the IT workforce

  • Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation

This role is located in Copenhagen, Denmark or Princeton, NJ, US and is hybrid.
