Controls Technician - Military veterans preferred

Our client, a Leading Sustainable Food/Beverage Packaging Specialist is seeking a Controls Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC troubleshooting, programming, and repairing. 

Job Title: Control Technician 

Location: Marion, IN

Pay Range: $32 - $34/hr.  

What’s the Job?

• Troubleshoot and manage the maintenance and optimization of plant control systems including PLC’s, VFD’s, I/O, sensors, HMI’s, communication networks, DCS system, automation and control software, etc., through direct involvement and the deployment and direction of internal and external resources.
• Support the troubleshooting and maintenance and optimization of the Electrical Distribution system performance including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, load centers, lighting, etc. through direct involvement and the deployment and direction of internal and external resources.

What’s Needed?

• Associate’s degree required in related field – electrical engineering or industrial controls. or Minimum 3 years of experience required with electrical controls / PLC troubleshooting, programming, and repairing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DCS, HMIs, PLCs, I/O, VFD’s, Sensors, etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing IT, industrial networks, and applications.
