Job Description

The Fugro Hydrography Service line conduct seabed mapping from the coastline and hazardous shallow water to full ocean depths using a suite of hydrographic surveying technologies, including satellite imagery, airborne lidar bathymetry (ALB), and acoustic sensors. Our advanced technologies can be used independently or combined based on your project requirements and are operated by our global network of qualified hydrographic surveyors. Supporting nautical charting, cable route surveys, and coastal zone management, our surveys accelerate the acquisition of high-quality hydrographic data.

Technical Sales Engineer

within the Hydrography service line is responsible to have the opportunity to Introduce & grow the Fugro portfolio of solutions, in support of our client's Coastal Survey & Hydrography (CS&H) objectives

Job Responsibilities
Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
Proactively collaborate with Business-line stakeholders to identify strategic (Coastal Surveys & Hydrography) sales opportunities through the delivery of Fugro's collective technology solutions & service-line offerings.
Provide technical and commercial expertise, and participate in meetings including customer visits and presentations, proposal clarification meetings, project kick-off meetings, and Technology/Service trials/pilots.
Qualify potential opportunities and shepherd deals through the sales process by working on proposal writing, creating content libraries, ensuring all Request For Proposal (RFP) requirements are met, managing proposal schedule(s), and soliciting input from the technical team.
Collaborating with commercial team members; managing business intake, review, due diligence, and proposal design in the representation of one-Fugro CS&H solutions.
Provide oversight & assistance to ensure a Professional Experience for customers during all aspects of BD & sales process and touchpoints, including Formal meeting agendas, formal follow-up stating the sequence of events and next steps in writing, and issue resolution in a timely fashion.
Be a master communicator across all departments. Live by the motto "One-Fugro" ensuring Business leadership has full visibility of emerging market trends.
Work as a 'client-interests ambassador' with the technology group, marketing, and all other teams to ensure successful technology/service launches, and project development through execution.
Understand and evolve processes impacted by new technology to drive adoption and increase Salesforce productivity with department leadership.
Collaborate with the technology group on the product roadmap build and understand/communicate changes to the initial roadmap through department leadership.

Job Requirements
Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree.
Have 10 years or more work experience related to this role (Hydrography / Coastal Survey), including experience working in or supporting tech teams, or in commercial sales, business, or market-development functions.
Have 3 years or more of experience working in Geo-Data services delivery or an adjacent field.
In-depth knowledge of services, products, and technologies - related to coastal and offshore surveys.
Experience in technical writing and preparation of proposals.
Understanding of business-typical ERP and CRM systems.
Fluency in Spanish.
Knowledge of (US) State/Federal Agency contracting and project completion.
