Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)POSITION SUMMARY:You will perform a variety of duties designed to improve strength and mobility as directed by a Physical Therapist (PT). You will help patients become independent by using therapeutic procedures to administer manual exercises, instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients with non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activitiesRESPONSIBILITIES:Report significant changes in the patient's condition (physical or emotional), safety concerns, unusual occurrences, and adverse effects of medical devices to the physical therapist or nurse manager promptlyUtilize physical agents, including but not limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage as directed in the plan of careObserve, record, and report to the Physical Therapist, Clinical Manager, and Health Care Provider, the patient's treatment and respond on a timely basisDirect and aid patient/CG in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training Provide and document services in accordance with applicable State, Federal, Medicare, Medical regulations and standards and third-party payer guidelinesQUALIFICATIONS:Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in this stateAt least one year of work experience under the supervision of a licensed physical therapistMust have a vehicle, a valid current driver's license, and automobile insuranceAbility to make home visits and provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments in the home environment, complete documentation effectively and submit in a timely manner.Home Health and Home Care Home Base documentation experience preferredBENEFITS (available to full-time employees):Excellent pay, including 23 days of PTO per year Health, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability Continuing education & tuition assistance Generous referral bonus programFlexible schedulingCompany Vehicle Program with a paid gas card for eligible full-time employeesABOUT US:Our unique focus is on patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine.
