We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at our prestigious fine-dining restaurant. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of bartending experience, possess exceptional mixology skills, and be capable of delivering top-notch customer service. This position requires the flexibility to work on holidays and weekends, ensuring our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

1. Mix and Serve High-Quality Drinks:
   
   • Create a wide range of cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages with precision and style.
   • Follow established recipes and pour techniques to maintain consistency in drink quality.
   • Exhibit expert knowledge of various spirits, wines, and beers.
2. Customer Service:
   
   • Greet guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
   • Take drink orders and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
   • Ensure that guests have a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
   • Address guest inquiries and concerns with courtesy and efficiency.
3. Beverage Knowledge:
   
   • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the restaurant's wine list, specialty drinks, and other beverage offerings.
   • Provide information about the origins, flavors, and characteristics of different drinks.
4. Cleanliness and Organization:
   
   • Keep the bar area, equipment, and glassware impeccably clean and well-organized.
   • Restock bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
   • Dispose of waste properly and maintain a hygienic work environment.
5. Responsible Alcohol Service:
   
   • Verify the age of guests and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
   • Recognize signs of intoxication and take appropriate action to prevent over-serving.
6. Inventory Management:
   
   • Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize wastage and ensure product availability.
   • Place orders for bar supplies promptly.
7. Team Collaboration:
   
   • Work closely with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient service and seamless communication.
   • Assist in training new bar staff, if necessary.
8. Compliance with Regulations:
   
   • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, classic cocktails, and wine.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
• TIPS or similar alcohol service certification is a plus.
