**Description**
POSITION: Occupational Therapy Assistant Instructor
STATUS: Adjunct Faculty (part-time)
REPORTS TO: Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Director
LOCATION: Wauwatosa
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Teach 3 -12 contact hours clinical and/or lecture classes in one or more areas depending on transcript review: Activity Analysis, Psychosocial, Introduction to OT courses, etc.
Provide scheduled/regular skills assistance and tutoring
Attend mandatory course and faculty meetings
Collaborate with OTA faculty in developing and evaluating course curriculum, learning support, and assessments
Implement and evaluate strategies for improved student retention and success
Availability for daytime course instruction
Other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree required (in field preferred).
Current OTA or OTR license required (Wisconsin license and NBCOT certification)
Successful teaching in higher education setting preferred
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in field required.
Working knowledge of computer software (e-mail, Microsoft Word, etc)
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success
Strong team player
Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment
