What you will do:

We would like you to be responsible for electrical analysis, detailed design, and control, as well as the overall electrical performance of air- and water-cooled chillers components and systems, including providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally! We prefer you to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

How you will do it:

  • Investigates and analyzes product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes, then recommends solutions.
  • Proficient in electrical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.
  • Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs.
  • Responsible for technical direction to application engineers, designers, factory operations, product marketing, and product technical service.
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of projects.
  • Continuously increases expertise in all aspects of chiller electrical design, theory, construction, operation, and applications.
  • Proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical components.
  • Uses standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in the field.
  • Expertise and applying regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes is a plus.
  • Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment.
  • Responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics, and bills of materials.
  • Experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software is also a plus.

What we look for:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; minimum of 4 years’ experience.
  • Experience crafting industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or ‘made to order’ environments)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Understands chiller controls.
  • Familiarity with HVAC Systems and motor-driven mechanical engineering design and test is helpful.
  • Travel domestically and internationally required (up to 10% of the time)
