**Warehouse Associate - Atlanta**
**Job Description**
Stromquist is looking for a warehouse professional to work at our Atlanta location receiving, picking and shipping HVAC and industrial products. We are looking for someone who will enjoy working in a warehouse environment and contribute to our continued success. We strive to provide quick and accurate delivery of our products from date of order. Stromquist hours of operation are 7AM 6PM.
**Function:**
To unload inbound shipments, pick product from warehouse, package product for shipment and then give packaged products to specific carrier for delivery to our customer.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
Includes continuous ongoing projects in development of the department and cross training as well as the following:
* Exhibit a positive, friendly & helpful attitude with customers or coworkers and be sensitive to their needs.
* Check in incoming products from suppliers. Confirm part numbers and quantities match POs and packing slips.
* Move items that have been received in to inventory from the warehouse dock to their stocking location in the warehouse using wireless scanners.
* Pull items from warehouse stock for pick tickets using wireless scanners.
* Package items for customer shipments.
* Package and ship returns back to suppliers.
* Perform minor mechanical tasks as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness or organization for designated areas of the warehouse.
* Assist the counter sales team when necessary.
* Any additional tasks as assigned by Management.
**Competencies:**
* Customer service and communication skills a plus.
* PC proficiency for data entry and utilization of business application software including web browsers & internet search engines.
* Perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks.
**Qualifications:**
* High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* A minimum of one year experience in a warehouse or customer focused position.
* Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions in English.
* Ability to speak and understand English.
* Must have reliable transportation to office location.
