Job Summary

We believe our Booze Crew will make or break the experience and culture of The Boozy Mutt. We are looking for hard working, self-motivating, team focused, and dog loving people to join our team.

As bartender/server, your primary responsibility is to serve guests - both two-legged and four-legged - in a courteous, helpful, and prompt manner. You are Responsible for the service windows and coordinating the serving station, communicating with front and back-of-house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds our guests' expectations. You will process/make guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared accurately and in a timely manner. Determine when it is appropriate and communicate to the team to do restroom / dog wash checks and floor service with table check-ins with guests.

***Large Event & Special Party Server(s)*** will have a handheld POS to take "table side" and or person to person beverage and possible food orders. Additional responsibilities may also be required to create the best guest experience.
Job Standards

  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined by the company.
  • Maintain a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts at the scheduled time.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company.
  • Meet all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified by the company.
  • Maintain our guest service philosophy by following guest service standards.
  • Know all menu and service items offered at the restaurant.
  • Accurately explain specials to guests. If asked, accurately answer menu items regarding preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items accompanying the dish.
  • Conduct a first greet with guests within 2 minutes after they enter the dining area to welcome and help them order via online for food and drinks at the service windows. Ensure all guests feel comfortable and welcome at our establishment.
  • Perform menu presentation procedures by accurately listing and explaining the specials, suggesting items, and upselling when appropriate while taking beverage orders.
  • Take beverage and food and enter orders accurately into POS system by repeating back their order. All food and beverage transactions for any person - guest or crew - must be entered in the POS.
  • Pick up orders and complete plate preparation correctly as specified by company presentation standards.
  • Perform restroom, dog bath and bussing / floor cleaning check procedures followed by "table touches" to check on guests after they receive their drinks & appetizers then "main course."
  • Present checks and carry out payment procedures whether it be from a handheld POS or at the service window.
  • Follow the alcohol serving procedures regarding beverage service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations.
  • Perform assigned side work and bar preparation duties satisfactorily.
  • Follow all start-of-shift and end-of-shift checklist procedures, as outlined by the company.
  • Maintain a positive team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when there is a need and/or when available.
  • Follow tip reporting regulations by keeping track of daily tips and following reporting procedures outlined by the Internal Revenue Service.
  • Complete, pass and demonstrate knowledge from all relevant training assigned by assigned due date.
Job Requirements
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to a high-level of hospitality and cleanliness.
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to six hours in length.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly, throughout shift.
  • Must be 18 or older as permitted by PA to sell alcoholic beverages.
  • Must possess manual ability to use facility phone and POS.
  • Must possess manual ability to handle/serve food.
  • Must possess adequate knowledge of beer, wine, cider and mixed drinks / cocktails.
