**Summary: Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to guests of bar by performing the following duties.**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:**

** Execute service duties in accordance with Forbes AAA inspection standards and Broadmoor Standards of Excellence**

** Take orders from guests or servers**

** Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks**

** Serve wine and draught or bottled beer**

** Order or requisition liquors and supplies**

** Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display**

** Replenish bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts**

** Maintain knowledge of, abide by, and enforce Colorado liquor laws**

** Maintain general appearance of the premises**

** Requisition, stock, and prepare products**

** Set up pouring stations, bar and back bar**

** Fill orders given by server at service station**

** Service customers at bar**

** Issue cash tickets throughout the shift**

** Set up cash register at beginning of shift**

** Ring tickets through register**

** Empty trash**

** Close bar**

** Work door when necessary**

** Set up reservations as required (i.e. seating arrangements, extra tables and chairs)**

** Must know and enforce room policies**

** Assist with clean up at the end of the shift**

** Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines**

** Maintains knowledge of Broadmoor history and grounds**

** Maintains knowledge of Broadmoor restaurants and retail outlets**

** Maintains knowledge of local points of interest and activities**

**Qualifications:**

**Education/Experience:**

**High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.**

**Language Ability:**

**Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.**

**Math Ability:**

**Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.**

**Reasoning Ability:**

**Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.**
