**Position Summary**: Unloading of all freight that arrives by any transportation methods to the distribution center. Responsible for placement of all products in designated storage areas and pulling/picking of customers orders from areas within distribution center.

**Position responsibilities:**

Retrieves skid and transports to available rack location using pallet jack, order picker or forklift

Reads rack location and individual roll prior to putting rolls in rack.

Manually transfers rolls from skid to rack.

Replaces batteries and exchanges power packs in readers as necessary.

Hooks up discharged battery to charger.

Checks out order picker at beginning of shift to ensure trucks are operating properly.

Receives instructions from Lead Persons as to which orders to pick.

Matches all tickets and rolls for shipping by carrier or process (pallets).

Reviews any discrepancies with Lead Person or Verifier.

Unloads trailers with incoming goods and locates to spare floor.

Loads on various type trucks using bill of lading.

Checks skids to make sure that finished goods are loaded on proper truck.

Receives in finished goods from Inspection, Synthetics, and Containers.

Transports empty skids to designated storage areas.

Previous warehouse experience in an industrial environment.

Fork truck including High Rider.

Communication skills.

Work in a team-oriented environment.

Use 400 IBM devices including RF handheld scanners.

Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

**Essential skills and experience:**

Ability to use Fork truck, order picker, pallet jack, skids, handheld reader and laser gun, battery charger, chain hoist, etc.

Read and understand locator forms and shipping labels.

High school degree preferred.

Basic mathematical skills.

Strong team player.

The employee must be able to lift and move rolls up to 80 pounds 50 to 200 times each day during an eight-hour shift. This position requires the employee to stand up to 95% of the shift. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This includes heat/ cold and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
