Proposal Manager - Military veterans preferred

We are really pleased to be supporting an Am law 100 firm who are going through a really exciting stage of growth and expansion to bring a Bid/Pursuit professional to lead on their bid process across the firm. The role will be reporting into a BD Director, giving you a great opportunity for continued professional development and mentorship, alongside managing a junior colleague in the team.

This role is also quite different to some other bid management roles in the market, due to the platform you will have to scope and develop the bids and pursuits process as the firm evolves their BD function and overall strategy. We feel like this is the perfect platform for someone who wishes to be part of that evolution and really put their own mark on building out a function, something that very rarely comes up in the market.

Duties included within the role;

• Work in tandem with the firms BD Managers in order to coordinate and lead on the bids process for the firm, across a number of practice areas, these bids will include tendering for business with existing clients within the firms client programme portfolio and new target clients identified by the firm.
• Lead on the pitch strategy sessions for the firm, working with senior stakeholders and other business services departments, for example the pricing and risk management teams.
• Enjoy mentoring and developing the firms proposal specialist, ensuring that they continue to progress from a technical perspective and receive professional development from you.
• Ensure that business development colleagues are trained on best practice when it comes to the pitch process, in order to make the bids joined up in terms of process through the firm.
• Track and record the win/loss ratio for the firms bid process, provide analytical thinking to try and improve the win percentage.

We would really like to engage individuals who are currently working in the Legal sector alongside those that have experience of a partnership environment in wider professional services, in particular those from an accountancy or management consultancy background.
