General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Wilbur-Ellis Feed Facilities are primarily involved in mixing, processing, and transferring animal feed, pet food, and cattle feed ingredients.

The primary role of the Warehouse Specialist is to assist in all aspects of plant production, quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness. Candidates are well-driven self-starters that can work with a close-knit team to meet the customer's demands efficiently.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Willingness to operate material handling equipment including a forklift, skid steer, and other equipment as required
  • Ability to repetitively lift packages up to 50 lb. (or 110Lb. with a partner) while working in a non-climate-controlled dusty environment
  • Good math and organizational skills
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions and complete the necessary documentation. The ability to read and write English is required
  • Willing to work overtime hours as needed

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
  • Learn and train all roles required at the plant (mixing, bagging, forklift, container loading, )
  • Operate and maintain processing equipment as outlined in SOP's
  • Maintain facility cleanliness throughout all operations
  • Perform Quality Control while handling products
  • Accurately document tasks performed (processing, maintenance, cleaning, )
  • Warehousing including receiving, shipping, and organizing
  • Follow all safety, regulatory, and administrative policies and procedures
  • Able to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management professionally and efficiently
Compensation and Benefits:
  • In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position is $20.27 per hour.Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience.This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
