Job Description

Primary Responsibilities: Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word The ability to provide detailed material and labor cost estimates Proficient in reading and understanding RFP documents, contract specifications, technology, architectural and electrical drawings The ability to review any local, state, and federal codes and interpret these codes as related to the project Communicates with department (Sales/Operations) personnel to understand and define the project scope for integration Meet with client to determine needs and formulate design. Complete site evaluation to determine client requirements and design specifications Prepare engineering analysis of project to include initial system design through various phases of engineering review to final system design, calculations, and integration documentation Interpret and prepare blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical construction specifications Manage engineering project schedule, propose changes to project, material selection and overall project costs Create drawings for Security systems including line diagrams, facility floor plans, elevations, sections, panel details, rack elevations, and all other drawings required for successful project completion and coordination Create the final bill of materials for the final system design Basic Qualifications: Knowledge of modern LSS system design Design and provide cost estimates for Access control, CCTV and Intrusion Systems Develop bill of materials, battery calculations, and sequence of operations Coordinate engineering deliverable schedule with project manager Prepare design documents, specifications, and drawings required for design/build projects Survey existing LSS systems and provide detailed upgrade or replacement information Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to make technical presentations. This includes interfacing effectively with customers, peers, and executive level management Excellent organization and planning skills, able to set priorities to accomplish tasks Ability to execute results against deadlines Ability to solve technical problems, make recommendations and provide solutions Knowledge of general construction and the construction process Knowledge of IP network design and architecture 2D drafting in AutoCAD for architectural coordination and system interconnection High level abilities in MS Office Suite, specifically, MS Excel, MS Word Preferred Qualifications: Perform cost estimating of CCTV, Access Control & Intrusion Detection Systems Manage the design process, create material list and project scope documents Survey existing security systems and provide detailed upgrade or replacement information Create submittal packages of designed systems Create drawings, including floor plans, details, and elevations using AutoCAD Coordinate engineering deliverable schedules with project stakeholders Prepare design documents, specifications and drawings required for design/build projects Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word The ability to provide detailed material and labor cost estimates
