Job Description Toradex is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to help drive the sales activities within the Boston Area in USA. The role’s responsibilities include all steps from qualifying inbound leads to mentoring customers through the product evaluation and development stages, and to successful commissioning of projects.

In this position you will be the voice and trusted partner of our customers.You will work closely with our application engineers, product management and customer service teams, as well as value-add technology partners. Strong technical and excellent communication skills are required to showcase the superior value of Toradex solutions.

The successful candidate will be able to build lasting customers relationships by employing a full array of professional sales skills and tools to achieve sustainable growth for Toradex. Occasional travel within your sales region will be required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Systematically drive the overall technical sales process from qualifying leads to successful commissioning of projects and the sale of professional services.

Actively develop and manage a sustainable pipeline of new business to create growth for Toradex in your region.

Showcase the superior values of Toradex products and services. Provide technical pre-sales consultation together with Applications Engineers.

Work closely with technical decision makers and Toradex’s Applications Engineers to identify target opportunities and present tailored solutions based on Toradex products and services.

Maintain long-term relationships with customers and be their trusted and reliable partner at Toradex.

Continuously track all opportunities and record customer interactions in the CRM; capture customer project requirements, update project progress and timelines, provide quarterly sales forecasts, and perform periodical customer follow-up calls where required.

Take the lead at regional exhibitions and conferences to promote Toradex products and services. At events, identify and meet with potential local customers to drive new project acquisition.

Travel for exhibitions, conferences and customer visits (up to 20%).

Ability to highlight product value and understanding of customer’s total cost of ownership (strong sales technique). Understand and appreciate the diverse range of applications and requirement across different industries.

Understanding and identifying areas of potential risks in a project, such a missing or ambiguous requirements, and helping to minimize or eliminate such risks through pro-active communication and problem solving.

Ability to capture and systematically document customer requirements for review with application engineers and product management teams.

Proven ability to work with stakeholders and decision makes at all levels, from engineering to management and executives.

Highly customer centric, strongly developed analytical, problem-solving and trouble shooting skills.

Project management skills: Ability to systematically plan, track, and execute tasks.

High-integrity, self-driven team player and thorough professional.

Highly skilled in communication and relationship building.

Desired Skills & Experience Required experience and background - a must

5 years of experience in the field of embedded systems, industrial computers, industrial IoT applications or related industries and applications.

Passionate and experienced in selling technology (computer hardware, software and services).

Proven technical B2B consultative sales experience in related field.

Desired technical skills - a plus

Experience with technical requirements analysis & system-level design.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related technical background is required.

Experience and knowledge of ARM computer systems and related components.

Comprehension of computer hardware fundamentals and component datasheets.

Familiarity with industrial interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, SDIO, MIPI, Ethernet, Wireless, etc.

Comprehensive understanding of embedded operating systems such as Embedded Linux, Windows CE, FreeRTOS, or other RTOS.

Ability to provide technical product consultation and demonstrations.

Basic products troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
